Im 23 weeks today. Next week ill be six months pregnant! Where has the time gone?!?!?! Seems like yesterday that I saw that very red line on a stick that told me that I was gonna be a mama again.
We’ve got 4 months to get ready for Landun. We still have lots of things to get, not enough money to get them with. Im sure we can come up with the necessities (sp?) though. Right now Im thinkin that we gotta have a bassinet, clothes, bottles, bath supplies, car seat and some other things by the time he’s born.
We’re getting Mikayla’s room ready for the both of them. Chris painted the walls a light green color which is a pretty neutral color. The room is so big that we wont have any problems fitting Mikayla’s bed and Landun’s crib in it. There’s two seperate closets in the room. One is a normal closet, the other is nothing but shelves. Im thinkin that we need to take the shelves out of it and make it a normal closet just like the other one. Chris said that it wouldnt be hard to do. He’s not gonna do it though!! Both of our Dads are construction workers and im sure one of them will help, maybe.
Looks like we got lots of cleaning to do today and tomarrow while Chris is off of work. Mikayla’s room is still a mess from when he painted it. We havent let her go in there because its too clutterd. Chris is gone to pay a bill right now, when he gets back, her room is gonna be organized and cleaned first, before anything else. Im pretty sure she’d love to back in her room and play with her big toys again. We hadnt had the time, all week, to re-organize it. Some things needed to be moved that I cant move. Her door has stayed shut all week. I also need to get blinds and a curtian for her room, but im having a hard time finding a curtian that I like.
Also tomarrow my aunt is coming to help us get rid of something very embarrassing to post about here. Its very common and must be going around pretty bad this year (cause I noticed the stuff to get rid of it is all over the place at the Walmart pharmacy section). Also Chris heard one of his co-workers talk about it, she thinks she may have it, along with her kids. Its usually seems like only dirty people get it, which I though, until I read in a million places online that even the cleanest person can get it. I havent had this stuff since I was 11. Its pretty gross! makes me feel very dirty, YUCK! Im also worried about the stuff we gotta use to get rid of them. I called the doctor and they told me what to do, but Im still worried about it. WHY ME!?!?!?! and Mikayla.
Chris was telling me all the things he hears while working at Walmart. I mean some people need to not talk about that kinda stuff in a FAMILY STORE!!!! Im not gonna say what it was about, but he says he hears conversations about it all the time. He’s a stocker, so he’s always over hearing people’s conversations as they walk by. He’s not allowed to say anything, so he keeps his mouth shut. Also, he has witnessed a few kids falling out of buggies cause the parent wasnt wacthing, he hates to see kids in the back of those things. Overall I think he loves his job (as long as they put him on the darn cash register!). He has managed to get up to 3 weeks worth of sickleave. He’s gonna use those weeks when the baby is born. If it wasnt for me having to have a c-section, it would be shorter. I need the time to heal, and the help. He still gets paid though, so thats good. Lets just pray that he doesnt get sick within the next year or so (or ever!). So it may look like one long Christmas break for him!
Went to chuch this morning. I dont know what it was but I got two compliments from two ladies, at two seperate time sayin “you look so pretty today.” That made me feel good! I dont think of myself as being pretty. I hardly ever get compliments like that from others (except for Chris, he does it all time). I have self confident issues most of the time, which is why you see little, if any pictures of me on this website. I must be starting to have that pregnancy glow, I guess.
Everytime I ask Chris, “Do I look pregnant?” he says “Im not gonna say” like he’s gonna hurt my feelings if he says yeah. I want him to say yeah. I want to look pregnant. If im not looking pregnant then that makes me think that something is wrong. Im 5 1/2 months, so I should be showing by now. Am I weird for wanting to look pregnant?
This morning at church I got offerd a crib. Chris said yeah, but we’ll see.
