Christmas Shopping

Chris and I did our christmas shopping last night. Very late, but thats all because we didn’t really have the money until now. We had to write a check and hope that it doesn’t bounce. Chris gets paid on Wednesday. Chris has alot of overtime on the upcoming check. We couldn’t wait til Wednesday when christmas is Monday

So we did our shopping at Walmart. Spent around $197, but with Chris’ discount it came out to $179. We left around midnite and got back around 2am. Mikayla spent the night with Chris’s parents and we had a friend babysit Landun.

We got lots of toys for the kids. We ended up getting a 4 foot, pre-lit tree. Its so cute! We got the stuff to make three different kinds of cookies (peanut butter, mint chocolate chip and dark chocolate chip. We’ll be giving those out to those that we were not able to actually buy a present for.

We started making the peanut butter ones around 3am. We only cooked a dozen of them. I dont think they turned out the way they should cause Chris doesnt know how to read directiions. Instead he puts all ingrediants together and stirs. Nope….not the way you do it. Oh well, they still taste good!

Im gonna bake the rest of those of those cookies in a little bit. After Chris gets home, were headed to his parents for christmas dinner.

Tonight after we get back and get the kids in bed, we got lots to do. We gotta wrap the presents and put them under (well around, theres not much room under) the tree. We gotta make the rest of the cookies. So, its gonna be an all nighter I guess.

I cant wait to get the kids up in the morning. To see there faces when they open the presents. I wish I had a digital camera. I’m gonna try to borrow one.

Tomarrow we are supposed to go to my parents, if we can find a way over there. If not then we’ll probably just hang around the apartment.

I put the Winter layout back up. Its going to be changing soon though.

Overtime & Caffeine

Chris has to work 5pm to 12am tonight. It sucks, but the overtime on his check is gonna be great. He got eleven hours last week and this week he is scheduled to get about ten or so. That make about 21 hours of overtime on one check, which overtime is paid as time and a half.

So, I’m home alone with the kids. Other than taking care of them, Im bored. Landun goes to bed around 8pm. Mikayla is really hard to get to go to bed. So, theres no telling what time I’ll finally get her to go to sleep. After that I’ll have some time to myself.

I feel like crap today. No energy what.so.ever. I’m attempting to ween myself off of caffeine in effort to start to lose some weight, plus save the money that we spend on sodas. I went a whole week without Mt. Dew. Last night I gave in and drunk a 20oz. Chris made tea before he went to work. So, there goes that idea.

I just put up this pre-made theme earlier today. I got bored with my other one. This one is only temp til I make one of my own….one of these days.

Yum…cookies!

Chris just came home from lunch and baked two dozen mint chocolate chip cookies. Yum! He took alot of them to work with him to give to coworkers. It smells really good in here. He made them from a recipe on the Andes bag. He’s planning on making chocolate chip and peanut butter cookies later.
Mikayla is gone to my sisters. They are supposed to be going to see Charlotte’s Web at the movies. She has never been to a movie theater before, nor has she seen Charlotte’s Web.
So, Its just me and Landun here for awhile.

We got our phone hooked up yesterday morning. I’m still using my DSL that is supposed to cut off anytime. The modem that the phone hooks up to is huge. Well bigger than the ones im used to. It’s also for use with cable internet.

Well its nap time for Landun. Im gonna put him to bed and probably take a bath or something.
